Easier Said Than Done
They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. One could say that hell is failure, failure to achieve tangible results or failure to follow through a plan or goal. Most of us make New Year's resolutions. We do it because we feel the need to change our lives, to make something work for a change and New Year's Eve seems to be a good time to start. Well, it is just another night like all the nights and there is really nothing special about it. We could start a new life, turn a new leaf any time we want to but, what are the chances that we will succeed? Probably, the same as when we do it on New Year's Eve.
Intentions are good and good intentions are even better. However, having them is not a guarantee that they will result in anything at all. It is probably better not to have some really big, shiny plan but small plans, little intentions and do them as they are made. The martial arts masters say there should be little or no gaps between thought and action. Maybe this could be applied to making changes in one's life: do it at once when the thought arises. That way we find out if the thought works when applied in real time and if it doesn't then we can make changes and see if these will work too.
Each day brings a new morning and new chances to make changes. Amazing things can happen in a day even if these amazing things are nothing more than little things that make a little difference in our lives. Some goodies are prepared where Ching Recommends and it is worth checking out. Jai, Ching's Empire, Ching's First, Online Resources, DB, a.Jose, Directory Resources.
